At AubX, we keep this simple: we only collect what we need to run the shop and get your order to you, we guard it carefully, and we never sell it. This page walks through exactly what that means. We (an actual human) wrote it in plain English because you shouldn't need a law degree to understand what happens to your information.

Who we are

This site, theaubx.com, is operated by AubX LLC ("AubX," "we," "us," or "our"). When we talk about "you," we mean anyone who visits the site, creates an account, or places an order.

What we collect

Information you give us directly. When you create an account, place an order, or contact us, you might share things like your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number. If you create an account, we also store your login details (your password is encrypted meaning we can't see it, and neither can anyone else).

Payment information. Here's something worth knowing: we don't store your card number. When you check out, your payment details go straight to our payment processor, who handles the transaction securely. We only see confirmation that the payment went through, plus non-sensitive details like the last four digits and your billing address.

Information we collect automatically. Like most websites, we pick up some technical information when you visit; your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you look at, and how you got here. This happens through cookies and similar tools (more on those below). We keep things fast, secure, and working properly.

Information from cookies and analytics. We use cookies to remember your cart, keep you logged in, and understand how people use the site so we can make it better.

How we use your information

We use what we collect to:

• Process and ship your orders, and send you order confirmations and updates
• Answer your questions and provide support
• Keep your account secure and prevent fraud
• Improve the site and your shopping experience
• Send you marketing emails only if you've opted in and you can unsubscribe anytime with one click
• Meet our legal and tax obligations

That's the whole list. We don't use your information for anything sketchy or unrelated.

Every partner we work with is expected to handle your information responsibly and only for the purpose we've hired them for.

We don't sell your data

We want to be direct about this because a lot of companies aren't: AubX does not sell your personal information, and we don't rent it out or trade it for marketing purposes. That's not our business model, and it never will be.

How we keep it safe

We use industry-standard safeguards; encryption, secure hosting, and access controls to protect your information. No system is bulletproof, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. But we take security seriously, we keep our software current, and we work with reputable providers to keep your data protected. I have personally made the call to spend extra money on this just to keep your data safe.

How long we keep it

We hold onto your information for as long as your account is active or as long as we need it to provide our services. After that, we keep certain records (like order history) as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal reasons then we delete or anonymize the rest.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we have about you
• Correct anything that's inaccurate
• Delete your information (within legal limits — we may need to keep some records)
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time
• Opt out of "sale" of data — though as noted, we don't sell it anyway

If you're in a region covered by the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or a similar law, those protections apply to you, and we honor them.

Age requirement

Our products are sold strictly for laboratory and research purposes only and are not intended for human or animal consumption. By using this site and placing an order, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and are purchasing for legitimate research use. This site and its content are not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from minors.

Sometimes we'll link out to another website. Once you leave theaubx.com, we're not responsible for how that site handles your data so it's worth glancing at their privacy policy too.

Visitors from outside the U.S.

AubX operates in the United States, and your information is processed here. If you're visiting from somewhere else, know that U.S. data laws may differ from your own. By using the site, you're okay with your information being handled in the U.S.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top, and for anything significant we'll do our best to give you a heads-up. Checking back now and then is never a bad idea.
